Static spin-dependent forces between heavy quarks in the classical approximation to dual QCD.
We compute the static spin-dependent forces Vs(R) (proportional to o-1 · o-2) and VT(R) (proportional to Jo-1 · Ro-2 · Ro-1 · o-2) between two quarks separated by R. This is done by treating the (weak) spin-dependent effects as a perturbation on the spin-independent potentials and fields computed earlier for dual QCD. What results is a definite prediction for the heavy-quark potentials which ar...
متن کاملL2 part of the heavy-quark potential from dual QCD and heavy-quark spectroscopy.
We use the classical approximation to the dual QCD field equations to calculate the term in the heavy-quark potential that is proportional to angular momentum squared. This potential combined with the potentials obtained in our earlier work gives a result which is essentially the dual of the potential acting between a monopole-antimonopole pair carrying Dirac electric dipole moments and rotatin...
متن کاملThe static quark potential in full QCD ∗
We report results on the static quark potential in two-flavor full QCD. The calculation is performed for three values of lattice spacing a 3 ×48 lattices respectively, at sea quark masses corresponding to mπ/mρ ≈ 0.8–0.6. An RG-improved gauge action and a tadpole-improved SW clover quark action are employed. We discuss scaling of mρ/ √ σ and effects of dynamical quarks on the potential.
متن کاملThe Static Quark-Antiquark Potential in QCD to Three Loops
The static potential between an infinitely heavy quark and antiquark is derived in the framework of perturbative QCD to three loops by performing a full calculation of the two-loop diagrams and using the renormalization group. The contribution of massless fermions is included. The force law between infinitely heavy quarks has been investigated since more than 20 years because of its importance ...
متن کاملQCD corrections to static heavy-quark form factors.
Interactions of heavy quarks, in particular, of top quarks, with electroweak gauge bosons are expected to be very sensitive to new physics effects related to electroweak symmetry breaking. These interactions are described by the so-called static form factors, which include anomalous magnetic moments and the effective weak charges. We compute the second-order QCD corrections to these static form...
